An interesting form of private pension provision is the Basis-Rente, also called Rürup pension. It was established in 2005 as a state-sponsored form of retirement. It is named after the economist Hans-Adalbert Rürup. The state promotes the savers by high tax deductibility of contributions (not at all clear what you mean here….). As with the contributions to the statutory pension insurance, occupational pension schemes, or agricultural pension funds they are deductible as special expenses in determining the taxable income of contributions to basic pension under the retirement expenses. So your retirement savings reduce your tax burden. The basic pension is suitable for almost all groups, although the advantages differ on an individual basis.
